Trainspotting is a film about guys who escape in life through the use of drugs. Heroin, as they call it. It is a film where you can feel the nightmare because of a dead baby girl crawling in the ceiling of Renton’s room. It makes you feel that it’s Renton’s fault why the baby is dead. Like a terrifying ghost, isn’t it?
Trainspotting is a wild invention of Director Danny Boyle who uses a protagonist which is Renton who is so in love with drugs. This film is no ordinary since the universality of taking heroin is a negative act for everyone. It is bad but the protagonist of Trainspotting craves for it. Renton even said, "Without the pleasure, we wouldn't do it. After all, we're not fucking stupid."

Yes, they’re not that stupid. Renton and his mates, Sick Boy, Spud, Tommy and Begbie are all struggling in their life. They don’t know how to manage their problems. They don’t know how to enjoy life in a good way. But just like in every fairy tale with happy endings, their story also has one, a happy ending with their struggles and a new beginning for them except for Begbie who looks so insane at the end of the film.

At first, they crave for heroin and finally, they came to crave for a simple and good life. To be a normal guy doing simple stuffs in their life. The director wants the audiences to be shocked at first with the film’s wild characters and later on realize that anyone can taste a better life if you choose to have it. Even bad guys in the first page of a book can be good guys in the last page.
